Maisie provides policy guidance, interpretation and support to OOLTC staff regarding regulation, statutes, rules and policies related to various long-term care settings, payer sources and other components of the long-term care system. Maisie assists in the development of program policies, identifying systemic priorities and setting the legislative agenda for the OOLTC. Prior to her current position, Maisie served 8 years as the NE Regional Ombudsman. Maisie also serves on the MN Commission for Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing and the NE Regional Deaf and Hard of Hearing Advisory Council. Maisie has previously worked as the Director of Social Services in a LTC campus community, worked within a MN county human services system and as a mental health clinician. Maisie holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree of Social Work and is licensed as an Independent Clinical Social Worker in MN.
